MEMORIES FROM THE OCTOBER 2006 TRI-V UMPH

Once again our prayers were needed for members of the TRI-V Family. Ray Suchner, our founder, underwent a procedure where they put two stints into the valves of his heart. Jim DeLanoy was diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma, an aggressive skin cancer, on his left cheek, just in front of his ear lobe. Since it was discovered early the doctors were able to remove it and this was followed by 32 radiation therapy treatments. Nick Angelosanto’s mother was again in the hospital with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. She has had repeated stays at the hospital this year for the same thing. John Lardin had both knees replaced and was up sitting in a chair that afternoon following surgery. Two days later they had him walking with a walker and the following day had him going up one and down one step. Art Trachsel’s stepson, Ron Doebler, was diagnosed with shingles the day before his oldest daughter gave birth to this first granddaughter and Art’s second great granddaughter. Kaylie Snow, granddaughter of Jacqui and Jack Schaefer, and Christine Lardin, granddaughter of Judy and John Lardin, were both hit by a car in the same week. Kaylie was hit at the Meijer parking lot and Christine was hit by a car that jumped the curb, hit a stop sign then left the scene. Fortunately both girls were not seriously hurt. Vickie’s sister, Marihelen, is coming to MI the day after Thanksgiving for the weekend and take Mom back wither to AZ.

Final Golf was held at Kendallville IN with 29 members and two guests attending the weekend. MEMORIES FROM THE OCTOBER 2011 TRI-V UMPH

Our TRI-V Family was in pretty good health though a few of the Family could use some prayers. Jacqui Schaefer Knee surgery went well and now she was on the recovery mode. Her latest visit to the Dr. was to be her last for a year. Mike Lardin put a scare into Judy and John. While they were at Caesars in Windsor with the Andersons. Connollys and Brian Trachsel they got a call from Mike that he was having chest pains and left arm/shoulder along with his color not looking good. Final results after a stay overnight and test showed all his numbers were good and he suffered no heart problem and all might have been related to stress. Jan and Cal; Cashman spent five days in the Smokey Mountains. Their week was filled with great shows including variety, comedy and music, site seeing and food. Kirk Trachsel made it to Gladwin to spend time with Art Trachsel and Diane and Ken Plocharczyk and celebrate Art’s 91st birthday. Art continues to do well in his assisted living apartment playing bingo, wii bowling and is the resident expert on all things sports, especially the Detroit Tigers. This wraps up another trip down Memory Lane. With school just starting I sit back and enjoy the excitement of granddaughter Alyssa as she comes home from first grade wanting to tell all that happened that day in school. Do you ever think back to when your children or grandchildren were in school and the excitement them showed about school? These are precious memories we all have and should take the time to share with our family and friends. Until we see you in print next month, the Good Lord willing, take care of one another.
