MEMORIES FROM THE FEBRUARY 2010 ISUE OF TRI-V UMPH
The club mourned the passing of long time member Bud Massoll. Bud was a very active member and quite the athletic excelling in bowling, golf and softball as well as a sharp pinochle player. Prayers went to Blondie Forsyth, on the passing of her son-in-law, Jim Jiggins, on Feb. 3 in his home. Jim was a retired Major and upon his retirement from the service was a pilot for American Airlines. Our prayers also go out to Vickie and Nick Angelosanto. Vickie’s mother, Vickie Battel who resides in AZ fell and broke two ribs in her back as well as a hospital stay with pneumonia. Prayers also needed for Nick’s mom, Rosa, who has many medical problems. She continues to see different doctors to get a different perspective on care for her. Our prayers also for Mildred Hoch, mother of Judy Lardin, who spent five days in the hospital while staying with Judy and John, with a bowel blockage. Fortunately they were able to clear the blockage without surgery. While she was there they also found and drained a quart of fluid from behind her lung and a decision will be made for treatment she may need when returning to IL. Sherry and Bob Kuhr were leaving on Feb. 1 for FL making stops along the way to visit friends in the Villages, then to Kathie and Art Dushary for a few days, then to Port Charlotte to visit friends and ending up March 1 at Tim and Karlyn Gies in North Fort Myers and returning home Easter weekend. Pinochle standings through Feb. play had Nick Angelosanto in first place with 125.5 points; Cal Cashman and Vickie Angelosanto tied for second place with 112 points and Dion Angelosanto in fourth place with 110 points.
