MEMORIES FROM THE August 2010 issue of TRI-V Umph
We continue to remember in our prayers Betty Galloway who requested to leave the Medical Care Facility and move into the Woodland Hospice House. Her latest blood transfusion has not been sustained and she does not want any additional transfusions. Time Gies returned from the Trachsel family vacation sick and ended up in the emergency room. He was diagnosed with a kidney stone and a stint was put in to help the stone move down in the bladder. Those on the move included Karlyn and Time Gies traveling to South Carolina the last week of July for the Gies family vacation while Karen and Jeff Trachsel traveling to Gainesville FL for a few days to visit Trevor, then to Parris Island SC to visit Karen’s grandson John from Marine Boot Camp. Judy Lardin spent 12 days the end of July and first part of August in IL with her Mom who continues to suffer from congested heart failure. When she returns she will be on the Girls Weekend, a trip to Branson MO with fellow TRI-Vers and then a trip to Texas to visit Larry and Family. John Lardin turned 30,000 miles on his 2009 Ford Flex (leased in August 2008) and turned it in early and purchased a 2011 Ford Flex in August of 2010. Both cars are red, with the 2011 having a few more gadgets not on the 2009 model. The Tri-V Family Picnic was held on July 18 at Gunner Mettala Park, Wixom with 49 adults and 18 children in attendance. Upcoming events included the TRI-V Steak Roast on August 14 at Gunner Mettala Park, Wixom, TRI-V Wives Weekend Getaway the weekend of August 20-22 at Mannsiding Lodge Bed and Breakfast in Harrison MI and TRI-V Final Golf the same weekend at Ray’s Retreat in Gaylord, Mi with 24 scheduled to attend.
