May Tri-V Club Memories
MEMORIES FROM THE MAY 2006 ISSUE OF THE TRI-V UMPH
May 2006 issue of the TR-V Ump was one of the most varied issues in recent times. We started out requesting our prayers to the Little Family on the passing of Mary Ann Little; spouse Al, on her passing the end of April. Bill and Mary Ann moved to Chicago and ran a successful printing business before Al. passing. She spent her last 20 years in Elk Rapids MI. Our prayers were also needed for Art Trachsel who received a pacemaker the first part of May to regulate his heart rhythm and Lynn Barnes who underwent hernia surgery on May 11th and also to Karlyn Gies who continues to struggling with a painful knee though she was not ready to join the knee surgery just yet. Dorothy Richeson was suffering some discomfort from a fall. Though only badly bruised she spent three days in the hospital and then transferred to a rehab center where she is receiving therapy to help with her balance and strength for walking. Our congratulations went out to Matt Hoffman and his pending marriage to Christina in Mexico and to Judy Lardin on her retirement from Ford Motor Company on May 1st. Jay and Liz Trachsel were traveling to Las Vegas the first week of May while Jeff Trachsel and Karen Thrift were traveling to North Fort Myers for 12 days then to Las Vegas to attend the wedding of Karen’s oldest daughter and then to South Carolina for the graduation of Ryan Trachsel from Marine Boot Camp. John and Donna Clingerman were traveling the South East looking for the perfect retirement area and finally Vicki Angelosanto was flying to Arizona for a quick visit with her sisters the middle of May and returning with her Mom to spend the summer. The initiation Dinner of Jerry Gies was scheduled for Friday, June 9th, at Walker’s Speakeasy on Beech Daily Road, Dearborn Heights, with golf planned earlier in the day at Gateway Golf Club in Romulus. The TRI-V Picnic was set for Sunday, June 25th, at Gunnar Mettala Park, Wixom. He Girls Weekend was set for August 11th – 1th in St Joseph MI. It was five year ago the Lee and Marian Anderson purchased their Florida Home in Fort Myers.

Please continue to pray for Earl Tishler. He is out of the Skilled Care Oakwood Commons. He was unable to return the assisted living area and is now a resident of the Alzheimer/Dementia unit. He no longer has a phone. He seems to be doing fine. His stroke has compromised his life and it is taking time for his adjustment. We (all) are taking a one day at t time and doing our best.
Little Dominic Mackson, son of John and Robyn is in his youthful glory. He had a 15 minute surgery on April 19th to remove his tonsils and adenoids and for a week was able to get to eat as many popsicles and surplees he wanted.
Congratulations to John Mackson who was voted Coach of the Year by the News Herald for boys’ basketball season. Although the team did not repeat as Downriver League champs, they did win their District.
Those traveling in May had John and Judy Lardin making a trip to Corpus Christi TX to celebrate granddaughter’s Christine kindergarten graduation. This will be their first trip to TX since December of 2010 and they miss seeing their TX family. Upon their return Mike, Bev and family along with John and Judy spent Easter in Illinois with Judy’s Mom. Judy’s Mom continues to do as well and has adjusted to her limitations and we can ask no more than your prayers.
The TRI-V Children’s Easter Party was held on Saturday, April 23rd, at the Fairland Woods Apartment Clubhouse, Dearborn. There were five families with nine children and nine adults. This wraps up another trip down Memory Lane. So much to write about one month and so little for another month but that is how things have been going. The month of May is also the month when we pay special attention to our Mothers, Grandmothers and our wives. Do all your best to honor them in some way. Until we see you in print next month, the Good Lord Willing, take care of one another.
