March Social Event – Wayne State Planitarium

Come March 23rd at 2:00 we have reserved space at the Wayne State Planetarium.

I need to get a count here in the next week or so, therefore, it you would please e-mail me at mshoffman26@gmail.com, or call at 248-515-7037, otherwise, I will be making some calls. I look forward to us all having a great time.

This is for young and old. The total cost will be divided among all attending, for the 1 hour show and the Physics Phenomena demo it is $150. Therefore, it will be of little cost overall.

Below is a brief description:

We have you down for a 1-hour Planetarium Show as well as a set of our Phantastic Physics Phenomena demos, which typically take 50 minutes to an hour. For our Planetarium shows, we’ll talk about the Solar System and Earth’s nearest neighbors in space, then give a tour of the nighttime sky, and finish with a full dome film of your choice (check our website, https://planetarium.wayne.edu/shows/full-dome for options). The physics demos will cover electricity & magnetism, freezing objects in liquid nitrogen, and finish with angular momentum (how ice skaters spin) and a fire tornado.
