LARDIN TRIFLES
John and Judy were finally able to go to Texas to visit Larry and family. Our neighbor dropped us off at the airport at 7:30 a.m. for our 9:30 a.m. flight only to find out flight had been delayed due to mechanical problems. The plane was coming from Traverse City, finally left for San Antonio at 11:50 a.m. Larry drove approximately 3 hours to pick us up from Corpus Christi. We finally got to Corpus Christi around 5:30 p.m. It was great to see all of them since last time we saw them was Thanksgiving 2019. We usually go to Texas once we return from Florida but with the Coronavirus we were unable to do so safely until now. We got to see our granddaughter play two basketball games and win a tournament. We enjoyed playing games, visiting, and of course eating. Larry drove us back to San Antonio for our return home on a 3:30 p.m. flight only to find out it had been cancelled. We were able to take a plane to Atlanta and then switch planes to Detroit—finally arrived home around midnight—long day since Larry dropped us off at 1:00 p.m.
Our grandchildren in Texas are doing virtual school. For Christine, who is a sophomore, it works out because she is very focused. She does virtual school but does go to basketball practice and games at the school. Jacob who is in eighth grade is not doing well with virtual school—he eventually gets his work done but it is a struggle with him to get homework done in a timely manner—he may be heading to school soon—they had a choice and felt safer with virtual.
John saw the oncologist the next day and the doctor’s time management is nil. Appointment time was 1:30 p.m. and did not see doctor until approximately 5:30 p.m. Nothing new to report, John will have CAT scan first part of November to make sure things have not changed.
