JULY MEMORIES
MEMORIES FROM THE JULY 2007 OF TRI-V UMPH
We reported last month on the heart attack suffered by Kirk Trachsel, son of Art and brother of Diane Plocharczyk. The update was printed in the July issue and bottom line is Kirk has successful come through the life threatening surgery. All of our prayers seem to have paid off. Robyn Mackson has decided to train for a marathon that is scheduled for Oct. 28th in Grand Rapids, MI. Judy Lardin continued to travel this time to Corpus Christi TX to help Larry and Kim watch the grandkids while Kim’s grandfather had emergency heart surgery. The surgery was successful and upon her return she and Mike were headed to Illinois to visit Mom/Grandma for five days and Mike to do a few things around the house for Grandma. Tim and Karlyn Gies became grandparents again when daughter Lisa gave birth to baby Andrew on July 3rd. There was an article on the TRI-V 70th Anniversary Party held the weekend of June 22nd through the 24th at McGuire’s in Cadillac, MI. There were five Anniversary Party Thank You’s, from Club members. The Steak Roast was set for Aug. 4th at Gunnar Metalla Park, Wixom with dinner scheduled for 4:00 p.m. The girl’s book club is still going strong and continues to read and review a book each month and as of June 2012 have read 15 books. Did Robyn Mackson ever continue her training and run in the marathon at Grand Rapids in 2007? Sumer has arrived in earnest. Now is the time to sit back and reminisce of previous summers. Maybe it as the trip down the Detroit River on the Boblo boat or that night at Edgewater Park? Perhaps it was a family trip to Kensington Metro Park for a swim and picnic or the warm evenings we would just “hang” out with our friends and share a laugh. These are memories that once in a while we have to share so we do not lose them completely.
MEMORIES FROM THE JULY 2012 OF TRI-V UMPH
We ask you to remember Judy’s mom, Millie inyour prayers. On her return to Illinois she was taken to doctor and they removed a liter of fluid from behind her lungs. This is the same problem she had when in Florida with Judy and John in 2009. Judy continues to be Grandma more and more with little Alyssa. She does not know when to say “no” and is a total joy to both Judy and John. She sure knows how to tire out Grandpa. The end of July Judy and John will have house guests from the Florida condo where they stay in winter. Cathy and Bill will be here for an education convention and will stay for a week after. In August Kim, Larry, and grandkids from Texas are scheduled to visit for 10 days. Karen and Jeff Trachsel returned from a visit with Trevor in Florida. They got caught in tropical storm Debbie driving down. Andrea and Steve (my daughter and son-in-law) is pregnant due on January 2013. The Dushary’s finally sold their home in Michigan after having it for sale on and off for four years. The closing with immediate occupancy is scheduled for June 15th. Terry and Ellie Connolly traveled via coach with the Livonia Travel Club, stopping in Auburn, NY, then on to Vermont and New Hampshire. Dominic Angelosanto finally retired after 42 years with F.B. Wright. This will allow Vickie to semi-retire as Nick will be able to share the deliveries for their company though Nick’s dad needs plenty of attention. We now share the daily visits to Dad. There was a flyer for a trip to Branson, MO in November that several Tri-Vers signed up to go on.
That wraps up another trip down memory lane. Things we do now will be the memories we share down the road. Until we see you in print next month, the Good Lord willing, take care of one another.
