September – Fall is here (maybe) I do not know.

I have to admit after leaving this fond state for a couple of years, I have forgotten the inconsistent consistency of the change of seasons. Today I believe we will be in the mid 80’s after going to work yesterday is the 50’s. This is what makes us good hearty mid-westerners. Wishing everyone a good fall. I will bring updates after the meeting tonight but encourage everyone to check the events calendar and wish everyone anniversary or birthday greetings.

Four scores and two minutes ago, it came to my attention that many of our club will embark on Final Golf weekend. Wish you all great day’s golfing and bug free nights throwing bags. I will not be joining this year but wish you well. Steak Roast is also right around the corner, hope we all can get together and fellowship at this time. Back to school for those of us with children of age or might even be teacher. Big changes from the summertime activities. May it be smooth for everyone. Next meeting will be in September. Looking forward to seeing you there.

    President’s Message

Summer time is always so busy for our Tri-V family. Here I am as a newly elected officer adn realizing thanks to the push notification of the paper, that I have already begun my reign of failure by not getting the President’s Message out there on-time.

I will work to improve this. Upcoming event is the Picnic this weekend. Hope to see many of you there. We will be Rotary Park pavilion #3 in Livonia. There is going to be some water activities planned so you may want to have spare clothes for the kids.

Everyone please work to enjoy your summer, I have seen some great photos from many of our members and their vacations. Glad to see we are all out and about. Wishing everyone health, hapiness and adventure.

    Presidents Message
I hope everyone is doing well. Tri V had a number of members with mild covid cases in January and happily everyone is fine. The cases are slowly decreasing, and I am hopeful at a return to full activities can happen in the near future.
Lee and Jan’s place in Florida suffered major damage from a storm in January while they were sheltering in the house. Thankfully they were not hurt.
There is a meeting on Feb. 8th. We will discuss upcoming event planning and holding nominations for officers. The March meeting will be held for the election of officers. Please plan to attend both meetings.

    Presidents Message
I hope everyone is well heading into the holiday season.
Bowling is well underway and the older Tri V team is in second place while our younger member team has had a difficult start but is now coming on strong.
Tonight is Halloween I hope the weather is good for the trick or treat aged children and adults.
There will be no meeting this month but be sure to put your Christmas greeting into next month’s paper.

Presidents Message At the September meeting Jeff Trachsel…

    Presidents Message
At the September meeting Jeff Trachsel informed the club that he has been diagnosed with bone and prostate cancer. He has already begun some treatment and they are looking the best options for a full scale treatment program. I’m sure everyone will hold Jeff, Karen and the family in their prayers.
The Tri V September meeting was held at the Perfect Game bowling alley on Sept 14th. George presented calendar of events and budget options to the club for discussion. After much discussion it was decided to keep the same outdoor events only option as last year. The spring and summer events from last year will have the same budget. I will be assigning members to each committee so if you have a preference of committee’s let me know. Also dues have again been waived for this year. We will hold officer elections in 2022 so meetings will start back up in February if not sooner. Based on what is happening if things improving enough to change our thinking toward indoor events we may reinstate a few events. Brian, Jack and John Mackson have volunteered to be on an Anniversary committee, They will investigate options for holding either a spring, summer or fall anniversary party.

    President Jay Trachsel
