    Missing Articles – Try 2

Sorry there were a few missing articles in the last paper send. Hopefully I have captured the missing ones below.

FYI anything uncategorized will now go into the “Trifles” category by default as this is the most commonly used category. So if you don’t want it to appear there, please make sure to choose something from the drop-down.

(Also an old post from Jack will be shown as it was un-categorized previously)

    Thanks,
    -Dave

Christmas Greeting from Judy and John Lardin
Merry Christmas TRI-V. As we prepare to celebrate the birthday of the Christ Child remember all that has happened and be thankful for all the support we have received from the TRI-V Family as well as our own family and friends. It has been a blessing to be a member of TRI-V. Merry Christmas to all.
    Judy and John

THE LARDINS November proved to be a busy…

    THE LARDINS
November proved to be a busy month for Judy and John as it is for most people. John continues to get chemo every other week then add Thanksgiving Week with son Larry, Kim and grandchildren coming in for the week. All that Christine and Jacob want is to see and play in snow. Looks like they are a week late for that. Larry has many plans he wants to do while here and looks like it will be a busy week each day with all of us being together for Thanksgiving Dinner for the first time in five years. John is excited for this gathering. After they leave we will be getting ready for Christmas and preparing for the annual three month trip to Ft. Myers FL for the winter leaving the first week of January.

    MARK ELLIOTT MEMORIAL

    MARK ELLIOTT MEMORIAL

The memorial service for TRI-V Member Mark Elliott was held on June 8th at White Chapel Cemetery.

TRI-V Members attending were Nick and Vickie Angelosanto, Lee and Marian Anderson, Terry and Ellie Connolly, John and Judy Lardin, Brian and Jane Trachsel, Jay and Liz Trachsel and Ken and Kate Stress.

A few things we did not know about the Elliott Family were Mark Sr. set the school swim record in high school and in the 1942 Olympics that were cancelled because of the war and were still held privately by the Americans. Mark Sr. won the silver medal. He was beat out of the gold medal by Johnny Westmiller who later became Tarzan in the movies. Mark Jr. who was very quiet about his personal life is a different story. E worked for the Detroit Water System and was a 185 bowler and an 8 handicap golfer. What we did not know how good an athletic he was. In high school he broke the swim record that had been established by his dad years before. He was a catcher in baseball and did make it to the minor leagues. His wit and sense of humor will be missed. For those who knew him and were fortunate enough to be involved with him we were blessed.

    YOU WILL BE MISSED MARK.

    Paper Issues

    Hello Everyone,

Sorry the paper has been screwed up the last couple months.

This latest edition should contain all the missing articles.

Please let me know if there are any still missing. As always, there is no need to wait for this email as everything is still visible online at trivclub.com.

Thanks for your patience and sorry for the mix-up.

    -Dave

P.S. A big thanks to the committee for the picnic. We had a great time, especially my kids! Matthew is still talking about how “he and dad” won the balloon toss. Thanks for a job well done!

Tags: Thanks for the prayers and well wishes

Thanks you for all the well wishes foe…

Thanks you for all the well wishes foe Peggy. She fell on the island and broke her femur just above the artificial knee. The story of the trip to Huron Valley hosp. and repair surgery is unbelievable but true. see me at the picnic for the details. She is at Fox Run doing rehab. Non-weight bearing on the right (broken) leg for 6 weeks. Probably 6 month before being totally healed. The prayers and well wishes are much appreciated. YES, I probably should have initiated the calling list but did not think of it as my mind was working overtime on other issues. Again, Thanks and looking forward to seeing you at the picnic.
