The Steak Roast has been canceled for this Saturday due to flooding from the storms this week. A new date will be announced if the event is rescheduled.

The cost for this will be $275 which will include 2 night’s lodging, three rounds of golf 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners and all of the prize money. We would like at least a $100 deposit now if you are planning on going or you can pay the full amount if you like. We had a great response to the Ryder Cup format last year so we will again be dividing the players into 2 teams. In addition to the games listed below, you will also be competing in a match play tournament against another team/player in your foursome. There will be a cash prize to the each of the members of the winning team.
The plan for each day is:
Friday……….. 18 holes of golf and cart on the Cascades Golf Course (www.cascadesgolfcourse.com/) starting at 11:04
2 Man Better Ball – Choose the best drive from you or your partner, from there play your own ball. Your team score will be the better of you or your partners score. Prize money will be paid to each 2 man team for Place, Skins and Greenies.

People seemed to really enjoy the “Ryder Cup” competition so we will be continuing that again this year. Other details will be provided as they are available
Jan at the Hankered Inn said we can work something out for dinner for those that want to play golf later into the evening.

We have again booked rooms and tee times for up to 32 men at Lakewood Shores Resort, “Home of The Gailes” for arrival on Friday, August 17, 2018, and departure on Sunday, August 19, 2018, in Oscoda, MI
Unlike last year we are planning meals a little differently. We are looking at ordering Pizza for dinner one night and the other night having dinner together in the dining room. I think it will make the most sense to just pay for our meal individually.
The estimated cost for this will be $320 which will include 2 night’s hotel, three rounds of golf and dinner one night and all of the prize money.
If possible, we would like to have a deposit of $150.00 pp from people by the open house on May 13, 2017 to Mike Trachsel or Jeff Trachsel. If you need more time on the deposit just let us know ASAP so we can get an accurate total.

We will also have unlimited use of the 18 hole pitch and putt course, The Wee Links, which is located directly behind the hotel. We can also bring corn hole, washer toss etc. and play out back of our rooms.

For the Family event, we have reserved tickets at Jimmy John’s field in Utica on June 24th @ 1:05 P.M.
The game will feature the East Side Diamond Hoppers vs the West Side Woolly Mammoths. Kids run the bases every after every game at Jimmy John’s Field. If you haven’t been to Jimmy John’s field, the games are always entertaining and there are lots of amenities for people of all ages to enjoy.

When you arrive at Lakewood shores this weekend you will check in at the main clubhouse. If you are arriving on Friday you can check into your room as long as it is ready. Players arriving on Thursday and/or that would like to add the unlimited golf option to their package will pay for that at check in. Otherwise you can just check in by giving them your name and there should be no charge to you. I’m not sure what the seating like is outside the rooms so you may want to bring a chair if you have room.

Format: Individual/Choose the best drive in your group and play your own ball from there. Players will take their score, less their handicap to determine the winner. All league players are using their Hickory Hills handicap, if you don’t like your handicap, please feel free to blame Dave. All other players have been assigned a handicap, these may be way off but we did the best we could. We will be playing Closest to the Pin for AB/CD on all par 3s as well as AB/CD Skins. Prize money will be paid out individually.
