    Paper Submission Schedule

    Hello Tri-V Members,

I have made some changes to the paper distribution schedule. All articles must be submitted by the last day of the month by 10:00 PM. The paper (should) now send itself on a set schedule, so anything submitted after that time will not be included.

The new schedule is reflected in the calendar and should have shown up in everyone’s email. You can accept the meeting invitation to use as a reminder if it helps.

Thanks and I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving!
    -Dave

    November President’s Message

The first snowfall of the season came early. Hopefully it isn’t a sign of things to come. Judging by my morning commute, it is still construction season in Michigan. Snow this early could cause a problem for those road crews trying to finish up before winter. Since the last paper went out, we’ve winterized the cottage, had parent teacher conferences, and hauled in loads of candy trick or treating. We’ve also had some opportunities to get together for marbles, bowling, and a bike racing event at the Velodrome. The October stag event was cancelled due to a projected low number of golfers. The committee is trying to plan a makeup event in its place. Our November meeting will be held at Drakeshire Lanes this Tuesday at 6:15. Please try to be there if you are able. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

    the Lardins

John’s latest scat can showed the chemo is working as the tumor has remained the same. Good news though John was hoping the size of the tumor would have reduced some. Kim and Larry invited Judy and John to Texas to celebrate their first Thanksgiving in their new home. John said yes immediately so they plan on leaving Fri. Nov. 16th, and return on Sun., Nov. 25th. They will celebrate grandson Jacobs birthday as well as Christmas. Jacob’s birthday is Dec. 16 and Judy and John normally make a trip at that time but this year will celebrate all while they are there now. Again John thanks all for your continued prayers for him and all fellow members of the TRI-V family and their friends. THEY DO WORK

    NOVEMBER MEMORIES

MEMORIES FROM THE NOVEMBER 2008 ISSUE OF TRI-V UMPH

We are happy that once again the TRI-V family, though in need of our prayers were in pretty good health. Don Winters, one of the original five, was doing well since he moved to Manoogian Mansion Nursing Home, Livonia and is always looking for visitors. Ken Plocharczyk was scheduled for foot surgery on Nov. 14 to remove a buildup of calcium. Terry Dunham continues to recover from his episode that started in early June with some unbalance issues. He is scheduled to see an inner ear specialist in early Dec. Those travelling included Terry Dunham to Colorado on a consulting job and a five day trip to Branson MO by the Anderson’s Connolly’s, Lardin’s and Schaefer’s by train. Five shows and five days of fun, fun while Donna and John Clingerman spent the weekend of Oct. 4 in Jonesborough TN to the National Storyteller’s Festival. Upon Judy and John’s return from the Branson trip they left the next day for Corpus Christi TX to celebrate granddaughter’s Christine’s fourth birthday. Karlyn and Tim Gies were celebrating the birth of their newest grandson, Andre, born to daughter Tracy and Nick Katcherian on Oct. 26. The TRI-V Wives Christmas Party was set for Dec. 17 at the House of Ing, Farmington Hills and the Children’s Christmas Party was set for Dec. 7 at Colonial Acres Clubhouse, South Lyon. There was an article on Feather Bowling at Cadieux Café, Detroit on Oct 18 attended by 24 people. There were articles on pinochle hosted by the Cashmans, Clingermans and Wutkas. The pinochle standings after two months of play had Robyn Mackson in first place with 64.5 points, Vickie Angelosanto in second place with 57.5 points and Bud Massoll in third place with 52.5 points.

MEMORIES FROM THE NOVEMBER 2013 ISSUE OF TRI-V UMPH

Proposed bylaw change pertaining to the emergency calling list was published and will be voted upon at December meeting. November pinochle at Jay Trachsel’s, Bob Kuhr in first with 34 points followed by Karen with 27.5 points and John Lardin third with 22.5 points.

The November stag was held at “The Drive-In “ golf simulator in Clawson, MI attended by eight Tri-V members.

The Tri-V wives attended lunch at Ginapolis Bar-B0Q smokehouse on Dec. 11. The kids Christmas party is scheduled for Dec. 8 at Eddie Edgar Ice Arena, Livonia.

The Lardin’s made their annual October trip to Texas to celebrate granddaughter’s ninth birthday. As usual the weather was miserable with the high in the low 90’s and humidity in the high 80’s but they did survive. They will be heading back to Texas in December to celebrate grandson Jacob’s 7th birthday. Upon their return from Texas they are making plans for Florida. Shirley Suchner moved from Holiday Park Westland to Abbey Park in New Hudson making her close to son in South Lyon. Tom Untener’s daughter gave birth to Beau Thomas Armstrong. This is Tom’s first grandchild which adds to his five step grandchildren. Kirk Trachsel, brother of Diane Plocharczyk, made a trip to Gladwin to visit his dad Art Trachsel. Pinochle standings through November play had Bob Kuhr in first with 58 points, Romas Bliudzius in second with 54 points, and Jane Trachsel in third with 53.5.

This wraps up another trip down memory lane. Each month the memories continue to be less and less. Let’s not forget the memories that we cherish as an importance part of our lives and let our activities become a part of our TRI-V Memories. Until next month when we meet in print, the Good Lord willing, take care of each other
