    OCTOBER MEMORIES

MEMORIES FROM THE OCTOBER 2007 ISSUE OF TRI-V UMPH

This issue of TRI-V Umph found members in pretty good health. George Hoffman was recovering successfully, with a few minor delays, with his recent surgery while Mike Lardin’s MRS on his knee showed only some torn cartilage and had surgery that only took 4 minutes. Congratulations to Jayme Trachsel, daughter of Jay and Liz Trachsel, on the birth of her Gabriela Phoenix on Sept. 2rd and to Rob and Diana Kuhr, son of Bob and Sherry Kuhr, on the birth of Robert Paul on Sept. 18th. Those traveling included Dorothy Suchner from Traverse City, MI to DeKalb, IL into a senior apartment, Judy and John Lardin to IL and on their return to TX to celebrate granddaughters Christine’s birthday. Also traveling were Donna and John Clingerman to Lake Tahoe, NV to celebrate oldest daughter, Julie marriage and then onto Pittsburgh PA to celebrate John’s 40th class reunion and Marlene and Dennis Watuka spent two weeks in CA with son. Finally Jeff Trachsel and Karen made a trip to Camp Lejeune to welcome home son, Ryan, from Iraq. The Children’s Christmas Party was set for Sunday, Dec. 2nd at F.B. Wright Co., Nick Angelosanto’s place of employment. Pinochle standings for the first month of play had Jeff Trachsel in first place with 28 points, Mike Lardin in second place with 26.5 points and John Mackson in third place with 26 points. Did Terry Dunham ever retire and get to travel in his new RV for the first year of his retirement? Did Karlyn and Tim Gies find Fairfield Glades the perfect place to retire?

MEMORIES FROM THE OCTOBER 2012 ISSUE OF TRI-V UMPH

We ask you to remember in our prayers Leo Fanos on his passing on Sept. 10 at age 86. He is survived by his wife, Florence, of 60 years. A special thank you from Judy Lardin for the many prayers, phone calls, cards, and masses with the passing of “Mom”, (Mildred Hoch mother of Judy Lardin. Things have finally settled down some for Judy Lardin. She has finally finished most of the necessary changes being executor of mom’s estate. Judy and John will be leaving on Oct. 13th for Corpus Christi to celebrate granddaughter’s 8th birthday returning home on Oct. 17. Congratulations to Kristen and Michael Trachsel on the birth of their son, on September 24th. The Tri-V Stag is scheduled for Oct. 26 at the Cadieux Café, Detroit. The November social is scheduled for Nov. 17 to attend the Birmingham Village Player’s musical “Sunset Boulevard” at the Birmingham Theatre. The children’s Christmas party will be held at the Garden City Historical Museum on December 16th. There were 13 ladies that attended the getaway weekend on Sept. 6-8 at Hartland/Fenton/Grand Blanc area. Pinochle standings for Oct. had Karlyn Gies in 1st place with 28 points; Time Gies 2nd place with 26 points and Romas Bliudzius in 3rd with 25.5 points. This wraps up another trip down memory lane. School is back and all have started to slowly get in the groove. The new activities are about to start and let’s all try to attend as many as possible. Share your memories of past years with our family and the Tri-V family. Do not let the memories fade away for good. Until we see you in print, the Good Lord willing, take care of one another.
